Calung

Calung is a Sundanese musical instrument which is the prototype (prototype) of Angklung. Unlike Angklung, Calung played by shaken, the way to beating by hit the bar (wilahan/bilah) of the bamboo tube which's composed by pentatonic scales (da-mi-na-ti-la). Most species of bamboo for the manufacture is black bamboo, but some made from white bamboo. Understanding calung than as a musical instrument is also attached as performance art. There are two forms of Sunda calung known, namely calung rantay and calung jinjing (portbale calung).
